Introduction When you live in a diverse world, striving for a good education takes on meaning, as education is the hope of a powerful society. The notion of educating all is the idea behind Sustainable Development Goal 4 (SDG 4), which includes equal opportunities for quality education to be provided to all. While this is a valid question, why is SDG 4 still relevant, then, and how does practising interculturality contribute to the achievement of this SDG? Understanding SDG 4 SDG 4 goes beyond the concept of mere education. It is not only an educational goal, but a foundation of sustainable development, which mutually permeates with other SDGs. This concept looks forward to a dream where all individuals, without regard to their condition or background, get an opportunity for the best education and lifelong learning experiences in equally distributed quality education. Neighbourhood Profile

Image
Postal Code: V3X 0K2 Census Tract:  9330185.25 Total Population: 4,690 Neighbourhood Description: The “Panorama Ridge” area of Surrey, 56 Ave and 132st Street.  This is where I live. Three interesting findings about my neighbourhood: 1. This neighbourhood is a lot more South Asian than most. Nearly half (41.2%) of the population of this census tract belongs to Indian ethnicity, compared to just 8.2% of the population of Vancouver CMA. This figure did not come as a big surprise considering Surrey is perceived as an integration zone with a booming South Asian community.  The fact that many people self-identify as having Indian ethics, making 41.2% of the local population shows how culturally diverse Surrey is compared to Vancouver CMA. 2.  Indigenous presence in this neighbourhood is limited. Only a fraction(0.6%) of the total population of this census tract belongs to the Indigenous population which as compared to Vancouver CMA (2.4%) is quite...
